Exclusive Interview with the Manager of Jerome, a Gay Sex Cinema in Frankfurt, the showcase for the Video“Frankfurt City Men Vol.4”.
During the shooting of “Frankfurt City Men Vol.4” at Jerome Gay Sex Cinema, located at Elbestrasse 17 in Frankfurt, Germany, I had the opportunity to meet and talk to Rolf, the manager of the cinema backstage. Rolf was eager to share with me the rich history and vibrant culture of Jerome. By opening up about his experiences, Rolf hopes to help to dispel some of these myths and stereotypes, regarding the misconceptions and prejudices surrounding the world of gay community. Rolf, the manager of Jerome Sex Cinema, had been running the place for over two decades now, and he is usually familiar with most of the faces that are walking through the doors.
The dimly lit interior of the cinema is filled with the scent of sweat and sex, a testament to the countless encounters that had taken place within its walls. Rolf is a man of experience and confidence, which made him an imposing figure, but his friendly demeanor and open-minded attitude puts people at ease. At his 60s, he has a head full of light brown hair and bright brown eyes that seem to see right through a person, as if he could read his deepest desires and secrets.
As Rolf goes about his daily routine, he cannot help but feel a sense of pride in what he had built. Jerome had been around since 1986, and it had become an institution in the notorious railroad station district in Frankfurt. Rolf had taken over the business in 2008, and he had worked tirelessly to maintain its legacy while also adapting to the ever-changing landscape of the gay community. The cinema is small, only about 40 square meters in size, but it is jam-packed with everything one might need for a truly unforgettable sexual experience.
There are private booths with glory holes for those who want a more intimate encounter, as well as larger areas where the guests can engage in group activities or simply watch others having sex. Rolf is particularly proud of the events and parties that he organizes at the cinema. These gatherings are always well-attended, drawing in a diverse crowd of men, gay, bisexual and straight men, who are all united by their shared love of carnal pleasure. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Rolf was determined to keep Jerome afloat. The cinema had been forced to close for a period of time during the height of the outbreak, and it had struggled to recover from the financial losses it had incurred. However, Rolf remains optimistic about the future, and he hopes that his loyal customers will continue to support him and his establishment through thick and thin.
